Truecaller Partners Route Mobile to Expand Verified Business Messaging to Over 500 Million Users

Truecaller is widening the reach of its enterprise messaging platform through a new partnership with cloud communications provider Route Mobile. The collaboration is designed to help businesses deliver trusted, verified and interactive messages to more than 500 million monthly active users worldwide.

Truecaller has announced a strategic partnership with Route Mobile, a global cloud communications platform provider, in a move aimed at strengthening its Business Messaging platform and giving enterprises a more secure and engaging way to communicate with customers.

The partnership will allow businesses using Route Mobile’s Communications Platform-as-a-Service (CPaaS) infrastructure to access Truecaller Business Messaging, enabling brands to send verified and interactive messages at scale. The companies say the collaboration is intended to improve customer engagement while helping businesses establish greater trust in their digital communications.

Business messaging has become an increasingly important channel for enterprises as customers grow more cautious about spam, phishing attempts and fraudulent communications. Verified messaging allows businesses to confirm their identity before a message reaches a customer, reducing uncertainty and increasing the likelihood that legitimate communications will be opened and acted upon.

Under the partnership, enterprises will be able to reach more than 500 million monthly active users on Truecaller through messages that support rich media formats, including images, videos and documents. The platform also enables both one-way and two-way conversations, allowing businesses to create more interactive customer experiences rather than relying solely on traditional SMS.

The service includes several features designed to improve customer interactions. Businesses will have access to verified business messaging, clickable hyperlinks, smart-priority sticky notifications and read receipts, providing greater visibility into how customers engage with their communications. These capabilities are expected to help brands improve campaign performance while delivering more secure and contextual messaging.

Commenting on the partnership, Tushar Agnihotri, Chief Executive Officer of Route Mobile, said the collaboration combines the strengths of both companies to improve enterprise communications.

«”We are delighted to partner with Truecaller to bring advanced business messaging solutions to enterprises globally. By combining our robust CPaaS infrastructure with Truecaller’s extensive user reach and rich media messaging, we are enabling brands to communicate more effectively, build trusted interactions, and engage customers in a more meaningful way.”»

Truecaller also believes the partnership will accelerate adoption of its business messaging platform across global enterprises. Priyam Bose, Global Head of Go-to-Market at Truecaller, said the agreement expands the company’s ability to serve businesses through Route Mobile’s international customer network.

«”This partnership will help drive broader platform adoption and create new opportunities to serve enterprise customers through Route Mobile’s extensive network globally.”»

The announcement reflects a broader shift taking place in enterprise communications.

As digital fraud becomes increasingly sophisticated, businesses are searching for communication channels that reassure customers about the authenticity of incoming messages. Traditional SMS remains widely used but offers limited verification and multimedia capabilities. Verified business messaging addresses those limitations by allowing companies to display authenticated identities alongside richer content formats.

Route Mobile brings significant experience to the collaboration. Founded in 2004 and now part of Proximus Global, the company provides cloud communication solutions to enterprises, over-the-top platforms and mobile network operators across Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas. Its services span messaging, voice, email, identity solutions and customer engagement technologies.

Truecaller, meanwhile, has evolved far beyond its origins as a caller identification application.

The Swedish communications platform now serves more than 500 million monthly active users globally while expanding into enterprise products that help businesses communicate securely with customers. Recent years have seen the company invest heavily in verified business identities, AI-powered services and commercial messaging solutions as it diversifies its revenue streams.

Industry analysts believe trusted digital communication will become increasingly important as businesses continue moving customer interactions online. Consumers now expect brands to provide secure, personalised and interactive experiences while protecting them from scams and impersonation attempts.

For enterprises, verified messaging also offers measurable business benefits. Features such as read receipts, multimedia support and authenticated sender identities can improve customer response rates while reducing the risk that legitimate communications are mistaken for spam.

The partnership between Truecaller and Route Mobile positions both companies to capitalise on those trends as demand for secure enterprise communication continues to grow. Rather than competing solely on message delivery, businesses are increasingly competing on trust.

As organisations seek better ways to engage customers in an era of growing digital fraud, partnerships that combine secure identity verification with scalable cloud communications are likely to play a much larger role in the future of enterprise messaging.
