Ghanaian remittance startup Seevcash has raised $333,000 through funding programmes backed by the Stellar Development Foundation as it expands its cross-border money transfer services between Ghana and the United States.
The funding came through four separate awards, including two Stellar Community Fund grants and two ecosystem growth programmes.
Seevcash received $142,000 from the Stellar Community Fund (SCF) in October 2025, with the latest awards bringing its total funding from Stellar-supported programmes to $333,000.
Dawuda Iddrissu, CEO and co-founder of Seevcash, said the funding had helped the company accelerate its expansion and product development.
“Every award from the Stellar Community Fund has come at a moment when we needed it most.”
“It has let us move faster on the roadmap without slowing down on what matters — getting more of the diaspora using Seevcash, and using it often,” Iddrissu said.
Founded in 2022 by Iddrissu, Charles Owusu and Cosmos Appiah, Seevcash enables users to send, request and manage money between Ghana and the United States at low fees using blockchain technology.
The company is targeting diaspora communities and has built its platform around cross-border payments, allowing users to move money without relying solely on traditional remittance channels.
The Stellar Community Fund is an open-application grants programme operated by the Stellar Development Foundation to support startups, developers and other projects building on the Stellar blockchain network.

Alongside the latest funding, Seevcash has launched a Visa card that allows users to spend funds in more than 250 countries worldwide.
Cosmos Appiah, co-founder and chief technology officer of Seevcash, said the card was introduced in response to demand from users who wanted to spend their funds after using the platform’s money transfer service.
The card builds on Seevcash’s existing partnership with MoneyGram, which the company said helps facilitate the movement of funds into its platform.
Seevcash said the new card and continued development of its remittance platform would help it expand its services to customers in the Ghanaian diaspora and make cross-border money management easier.
