U.S. nutrition startup Berry Street has merged with India-based healthtech company Healthify as both companies move to capitalise on the growing demand for GLP-1 weight-loss treatments and AI-powered nutrition services.
The companies announced the merger on Monday but did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
Berry Street founder Noah Kotlove and Healthify founder Tushar Vashisht will serve as co-CEOs of the combined company. The business will retain the Berry Street name in the U.S. and operate as Healthify in markets including India.
The merger brings together Berry Street’s clinical network and Healthify’s AI-powered nutrition and fitness platform as the companies target a rapidly expanding market around weight management and metabolic health.
Healthify, which is backed by Khosla Ventures and has raised more than $150 million, provides AI-assisted and human fitness and nutrition coaching through its app.
The company says it has served more than 45 million customers and has expanded into the U.S. market, while also introducing GLP-1-assisted programmes in India.
Berry Street operates a network of more than 2,000 clinics and provides insurance-covered GLP-1 care. The startup also uses AI for nutrition coaching and meal tracking and says it has served more than 200,000 people through partnerships with companies including Amazon and Walmart.

The companies are betting on the continued growth of GLP-1 drugs, which have become increasingly popular for weight management. A JPMorgan report published this year estimated that more than 30 million people in the U.S. could be using GLP-1 drugs by 2030.
Healthify CEO Tushar Vashisht said the merger would combine the company’s AI capabilities with Berry Street’s clinical infrastructure to expand access to personalised nutrition and metabolic care.
Khosla Ventures founder Vinod Khosla also described the combination of AI and clinical expertise as a way to reshape how people receive nutrition guidance and metabolic health services.
