US President Donald Trump is set to host technology and artificial intelligence leaders on Tuesday for the launch of America.gov, a new government website designed to make it easier for Americans to access federal information and services.
The website will bring together information and resources currently spread across multiple government agencies, according to a White House official who spoke anonymously about the initiative.
The event will also feature panel discussions on artificial intelligence, energy, health, space and agriculture.
Among the technology leaders expected to attend are Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Anthropic co-founder Tom Brown. US Vice President JD Vance and other government officials are also expected to participate.
Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia, who leads the White House’s National Design Studio, is also involved in the project.
He said the new AI tool is intended to help Americans access government assistance and services more easily.
America.gov is part of the Trump administration’s broader push to use artificial intelligence in government services.
Earlier reports said the platform was being developed as a central digital destination through which Americans could potentially access services such as tax filing and passport-related services.
The planned launch comes as governments and technology companies face growing debate over the risks and safeguards surrounding artificial intelligence.

Industry figures have called for stronger safeguards around advanced AI systems, while the Trump administration has continued to emphasise the importance of maintaining US leadership in the technology.
AI has also become a major area of competition between the United States and China, with both countries investing heavily in the development and deployment of the technology.
The America.gov launch is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, during an all-day event in Washington, where officials and technology executives will discuss AI and other areas of technology and government.
