Propeller appoints finance leader Abdulaziz Alhouti as General Partner to drive artificial intelligence startup investments.
Venture capital firm Propeller has hired experienced finance leader Abdulaziz Alhouti as its new General Partner to guide its money strategies for artificial intelligence businesses.
The investment company focuses on finding promising artificial intelligence software, computer power, and digital infrastructure startups that need funding to grow into large international brands.
By bringing in a top financial expert, the company aims to help young tech founders build strong businesses, raise capital, and handle complex corporate deals as demand for artificial intelligence tools rises across the globe.
The official announcement was made in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on August 17, 2026, as global investment in computer infrastructure continues to speed up rapidly.
Alhouti brings years of international financial experience into his new job, having previously worked on major corporate deals, company stock listings, and public market investments at top institutions like HSBC and Saudi Fransi Capital.
Earlier in his career, he also helped shape economic policies at the Supreme Economic Council of the Royal Court in Saudi Arabia. Most recently, he worked as Chief Investment Officer at Jahez Group, where he successfully built a $50 million investment portfolio for startup companies.
The main reason for this major hire is that artificial intelligence startups need more than just money to succeed in today’s fast moving business world. Building advanced computer software requires deep technical knowledge, expensive computing equipment, and clear business planning.
Many young inventors know how to build smart computer programs, but they often struggle with business details like merging with bigger companies, opening international offices, or selling shares on public stock exchanges. Bringing in a leader with a strong background in big financial deals ensures that these young tech firms get expert guidance at every step of their growth journey.
Welcoming the new partner to the leadership team, Founder and Managing Partner at Propeller Zaid Farekh stated, “As AI infrastructure matures globally, founders need investors who understand both frontier technologies and company building at scale”.

Praising Alhouti’s background in helping businesses grow, Farekh added: “Abdulaziz has spent his career helping companies navigate pivotal moments, from early investment through strategic acquisitions and public markets, making him uniquely positioned to help our founders navigate every stage of growth”.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role and the future of smart technology, Abdulaziz Alhouti noted that “every foundational technology follows the same arc” as basic computer infrastructure expands worldwide.
By adding Alhouti’s financial experience to its leadership team, Propeller strengthens its plan to back the next generation of artificial intelligence creators.
This move helps bridge the gap between technical invention and business management, giving promising tech startups the financial tools and strategic guidance they need to succeed on the global stage.
