The Federal Government has launched a centralised online portal that allows Nigerians and businesses to access a range of government services from one platform.
The portal, services.gov.ng, was launched by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy to bring together services previously accessed through separate government agency websites and physical offices.
Through the platform, users can access services covering business registration, trade permits, identity verification, regulatory licences, empowerment programmes and other government initiatives.
The government said the portal would make it easier for citizens, entrepreneurs and businesses to submit applications, verify official information and access government opportunities without having to visit multiple platforms.
It is also designed to reduce the reliance on third-party agents, which can add extra costs and delays to applications for public services.
The centralised platform forms part of the Federal Government’s digital transformation drive under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on improving public-sector efficiency, transparency and service delivery.
By bringing different services together, the government expects to reduce duplication and administrative delays while making official services more accessible to Nigerians.

The portal also provides a single verified channel through which users can access government services, a move the government said would help protect citizens from fake websites and online scams.
Services currently available on the platform cover areas including business and commerce, identity management, regulatory requirements and government-backed empowerment programmes.
The Federal Government said the platform would provide a more direct way for citizens and businesses to interact with government as more public services are brought online.
