Chinese technology leader Alibaba has officially launched its latest artificial intelligence video model, called Wan3.0, introducing advanced features that let users transform everyday office documents into moving video clips.
The newly upgraded smart tool allows people to upload written text files, digital slide decks, and financial spreadsheets to automatically generate high quality 30-second videos with matching sound effects and clear voice narration.
By expanding what artificial intelligence can read and turn into video content, the cloud computing provider is aiming to help filmmakers, advertisers, and everyday office workers create visual media much faster.
The official technology rollout was formally announced by Alibaba Cloud on August 24, 2026, following several weeks of public beta testing.
The new software launch comes immediately after Alibaba announced a massive $10 billion share sale, making it the largest primary share offer ever completed by a company listed in Hong Kong.

Explaining how the new software creates realistic visual media directly from everyday office files, Alibaba Cloud announced in an official WeChat statement that “the new model can generate 30-second videos from documents, spreadsheets, slides and web pages”.
Highlighting how the video creation tool has already been tested across different creative industries during its trial period, Alibaba Cloud representatives confirmed that “Wan3.0 had been used in short drama and film production, advertising and marketing, tourism promotion and music video creation since a public beta version was launched on August 6”.
Detailing why the technology giant is spending billions of dollars on powerful computer networks to support these tools, Alibaba Chief Executive Officer Eddie Wu stated that the firm needed to build sufficient computing capacity before it could capture future growth.
