Google announced that its AI-driven conversational search feature, Search Live, is now available globally in all languages and locations where AI Mode is supported. Initially launched in July 2025, Search Live lets users point their phone camera at objects to get real-time assistance, enabling interactive conversations that draw on visual context from the camera feed. Previously, it was limited to the U.S. and India.
The expansion is powered by Google’s new audio and voice model, Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, which delivers more natural, intuitive conversations. Users can access Search Live via the Google app on Android or iOS by tapping the Live icon under the Search bar, asking questions aloud, and following up with additional queries. The feature also integrates with Google Lens for seamless visual context assistance.
Additionally, Google Translate’s “Live Translate” is expanding to iOS and more countries, allowing real-time audio translations in over 70 languages through any pair of headphones. Countries now supported include Germany, Spain, France, Nigeria, Italy, the UK, Japan, Bangladesh, and Thailand.
